SYNOPSIS
In October 1974, seven people from Igualada reached the summit of Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa, with one of them riding a motorcycle.
Adventure. Passion. Risk. The Moto Igualada – Kilimanjaro expedition proved that limits are self-imposed, and that two wheels can take you across the world. Santi Godó from Igualada initiated this six-month adventure, setting the world altitude record for a motorcycle by reaching the peak of the highest mountain in the African continent, at 6,010 meters (according to current data, 5,950 meters). Godó motivated eight other people from Igualada, aged between 18 and 42, all of them enthusiasts of trial biking and mountain climbing: Josep Maria Lladó, Jaume Llansana, Josep Bou, Juli Bernaus, Jaume Travesset, Josep Maria Casas, Joan Mollà, and Paco Florensa.
