SYNOPSIS

On September 3, 1998, music executive Ricardo Campoy was the target of an attempted assassination orchestrated by his former business partner, Miguel Degà. Two close friends who went from sharing family and dreams to hating each other irreparably. How did they end up here?

Megamix Brutal is a three-episode documentary series that tells the story of Max Music, a record label that emerged in the early 1980s, when Spain transitioned from dictatorship to democracy and nightclubs became the ideal form of entertainment. The narrative focuses on the friendship between its founders, two young men passionate about dance music, determined to succeed at any cost. They are Ricardo Campoy and Miguel Degà, who, along with the first DJs to emerge in the country, turned the megamix—a musical subgenre created from song snippets—into a multimillion-dollar record product with series like “Max Mix” and “Máquina Total” or artists like David Lyme and Rebeca.
