SYNOPSIS
Basketball can open doors for boys and girls looking for a better future. Of course, the path is not at all easy and is full of pitfalls. In Catalonia, there are 45,000 underage members. 370 are African. A dozen of whom have left their families in their country of origin with the dream of becoming professionals, although very few succeed.
In “Esports360: The European dream” they followed the case of Paul Ater and Julien Gboma. Paul arrived in Manresa when he was 11 years old. In South Sudan it left an endless war conflict. At Bages, he has found a host family and has already been selected to train with some NBA stars.
